FAQs
Sessions are £85 for 50 minutes. You can choose to pay per session, or in advance in blocks of four or more sessions, depending on what works best for you. Payment details will be provided when we arrange your initial appointment.
That depends on what you’re coming to seek support for. I have no set number of sessions. Some clients I work with for years, some for just a few sessions. We will be guided by what feels right between us. We’ll regularly review how the work is going and decide together what feels appropriate. You’re free to end therapy at any time, though it can be helpful to work towards a planned ending. I generally recommend a review after six sessions.
Weekly sessions are recommended to maintain continuity and support progress. Its best if these can be at the same time each week. I work both online and face to face and see people based anywhere in the world.
You can contact me by email or phone. If you leave a message or send an email, please let me know the best time to call you back and whether it's okay to leave a voicemail. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can and we can set up an initial chat to begin connection and see if we are the right fit for each other.
Yes. The Journey Room only collects essential contact details—your email address and phone number—when you first reach out. These are used solely for scheduling and communication about therapy.
Your data is securely stored and held for five years after therapy ends, after which it is disposed of as confidential waste. No therapy notes are stored alongside your contact details.
If a referral to another agency or communication with your GP or school becomes necessary, this would always be discussed and done with your consent. Email is only used for arranging appointments, not for sharing sensitive information.
Yes. I am a registered provider with AXA and Vitality Health. If you have cover with either of these insurers, please contact them directly to confirm your eligibility and obtain any necessary authorisation codes before beginning therapy. I’ll be happy to help guide you through the process.
Yes. I offer both in-person and online sessions via secure video platform. Online therapy can be just as effective as in-person work and can offer more flexibility for those with busy schedules, mobility issues, or living further afield. It can work well to have one face to face and then move to online if you are Oxford based.
Yes. I work with young people aged 13 and up. When working with under-18s, I often meet with a parent or caregiver before or during the first session to build a shared understanding and ensure appropriate support around the young perso
